IRD is registered under the societies registration act of 1860 as a secular voluntary organization. It is a premier institution devoted to promotion of voluntary action, research, training and over all development of women and children . IRD mainly focus development though participatory methodology & environment of the community. It facilitates many development initiatives for the upliftment of the marginalized people for their sustainable development. We actively collaborate with like-minded NGOs, PRI, Government and financial institution to evolve new development strategies to reach our goal.

Objectives
- Promote vocational and skill up gradation training program for livelihood options in sustainable angle.
- Encourage participation of women and other weaker sections in the main steam of development.
- Facilitate collaboration with local self Government, Nationalized banks and other development departments.
- Empowerment of women through SHG and other micro economic activities.
- Rehabilitate the physically and mentally challenged people.
- Promote income generation activities among women and other weaker section in the community.
- To undertake HIV prevention and targeted intervention.
- Promote collective learning and sharing of resources, information and technology for development.
- To encourage BPL families to avail the benefit of micro-economic schemes declared by the Government.
- Lending micro finance to SHGs with low interest for various activities.
